About Winchester Virginia
Winchester was got its current name in 1752 in honor of the first court clerk birth place which is Winchester, England. The first Court clerk name was James Woods who was also a surveyor. In 1756 James Woods granted George Washington a Land grant to build Fort Loudoun.
