ABA Therapy Services for Homeschool Families

Positive Reinforcement is proud to provide excellent Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services

to homeschool families in our community. We currently have openings for in-home daytime

sessions in the morning or early afternoon.

How Can We Help?

Our dedicated ABA therapists can assist you with decreasing interfering behaviors such as

elopement, aggression, property destruction, verbal refusal, and difficulty attending to tasks. We

have therapists qualified to teach skills related to toilet training, picky eating, communication,

assistive technology, sleep, and independent living tasks. While we are excluded from working

on academic skills, we can provide parent/caregiver coaching and support during instruction

time to help children better access their curriculum and become an active participant in their

learning.

Our staff are trained to be collaborative, meaning we will work with your family to create plans

that fit your child’s individual needs. We are also committed to respecting the culture and values

of each family we serve. If your child is homeschooled and in need of ABA services, please call

us for a free consultation.

Each step of the therapy process is provided in your home, and there is no need to transport your child to a clinic or office. Upon contacting Positive Reinforcement, our office manager will verify your insurance benefits and provide an estimate for copay costs, if there are any. A board-certified behavior analyst will be assigned to obtain authorization from your insurance company to conduct an initial assessment. Once the authorization is received, the behavior analyst will conduct the assessment at your home or remotely. The behavior analyst will collaborate with you and develop a plan based on the child’s needs and desires, the family’s needs and desires, and the results of the assessment. We will then review the treatment plan with you and make any needed changes. Lastly, we will submit the treatment plan to the insurance company to authorize regular therapy sessions.

The amount of ABA therapy your child receives is based on their and your family's needs. Based on the assessments, the behavior analyst will determine how many hours are clinically recommended; however, the number of hours therapy is conducted could be less depending on the child’s and family’s schedules. It is typically recommended that children with significant communication and social delays receive up to 40 hours of services per week. Children with mild to moderate delays may qualify for 10-15 hours per week. Therapy time fades as the child progresses in achieving goals and the family becomes successful in learning to implement strategies independently.
